Job summary

Angard Staffing Solutions Ltd, acting on behalf of Royal Mail, is seeking flexible delivery drivers in the UK. The role combines driving a Royal Mail van with on-foot delivery tasks in your local area, delivering letters and parcels in all weather conditions.

Candidates should have a full UK manual driving licence (max 6 points) and be prepared to walk long distances. Shifts vary, and a driving assessment may be required at start.

Qualifications

• Driving Licence: Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points – you’ll be driving a Royal Mail van as part of your round.
• Physical Fitness: Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Flexibility: Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• As a Post Person with Driving, you’ll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, ensuring letters and parcels are delivered come rain or shine. You’ll drive round your delivery area, completing parts of your route on foot, providing exceptional service and ensuring every item reaches its destination safely.
• You’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
