Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a Secondary English Teacher for a temporary fixed-term position in the United Kingdom. Start date is immediate or next term, with daily rates of £140–£233 and weekly pay. The role focuses on delivering GCSE English within a high-performing department and offers CPD opportunities and strong planning support.

You will be responsible for curriculum delivery, data-driven progress, and pastoral duties as a Form Tutor. QTS is required and a DBS check is expected.

Qualifications

• QTS is mandatory for this role.
• A BA/MA in English Literature, Language, or a related field.
• Proven history of teaching English in a UK secondary school setting.
• A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one) and safeguarding commitment.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum Delivery: Plan and execute lessons aligned with the National Curriculum and GCSE English specifications.
• Data-Driven Progress: Use assessment data to bridge attainment gaps and support student growth.
• Classroom Leadership: Maintain a focused, inclusive learning environment using effective behaviour management strategies.
• Pastoral Care: Act as a Form Tutor, supporting the holistic well being of our students.
