• QTS is mandatory for this role.
• A BA or MA in English Literature, Language, or a related field.
• Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school setting.
• A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one) and safeguarding commitment.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum delivery: plan and execute lessons aligned with the National Curriculum and GCSE English specifications.
• Data-driven progress: use assessment data to bridge attainment gaps and support student growth.
• Classroom leadership: maintain a focused, inclusive learning environment with effective behaviour management.
• Pastoral care: act as a Form Tutor and support student wellbeing.
