Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking an English Teacher for Key Stage 3 and 4 on a temporary fixed-term contract. The role offers scale-matched pay (£140 - £233 per day) and immediate start for the next term, with a strong CPD program and structured planning support.

You will join a high-performing English Department, delivering lessons aligned to the National Curriculum and GCSE English specs while focusing on data-driven progress and effective behaviour management.

Qualifications

• QTS mandatory for this role.
• Degree in English Literature/Language or related field.
• Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school.
• Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum aligned with National Curriculum and GCSE English specifications.
• Use data to track progress and close attainment gaps.
• Maintain inclusive learning environment with effective behaviour management.
• Act as a Form Tutor supporting student well-being.
