Temporary Data Analyst - Manufacturing and Operations

Position: Temporary Data Analyst - Manufacturing and Operations(Fixed-Term Contract: 3–6 months)
Location: Had Fab Ltd., East Lothian (Hybrid working available)
Salary:Fixed Term (PAYE) £30,000- £37,000 per anum, or Contractor Day Rate of £220
Hours: Full-time

We are looking for a Data Analystto join our growing operations team on a fixed-term contract of 3 to 6 months (potential to extend) . You will play a key role in turning data into actionable insights and helping improve visibility across key operational functions.

Key Responsibilities

Extract and analyse data from SQL databases

Clean, structure, and transform large datasets into usable formats

Use advanced Excel techniques (including VBA and macros) to support modelling and analysis

Create reports, dashboards, and visualisations for operational and management teams

Monitor and ensure the quality and integrity of business data

Respond to ad-hoc and urgent data requests

Identify inefficiencies and support data-led process improvements

Collaborate across teams to ensure accurate reporting and continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For:

Technical Skills:

Strong experience with SQL, Microsoft Excel (including VBA/macros)

Data visualisation and report presentation skills

Familiarity with ERP systems and structured data workflows

Solid understanding of data quality, structure, and reporting best practices

Personal Attributes:

High attention to detail and strong analytical thinking

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Proactive, with a critical-thinking mindset

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
