About the role

We are recruiting a Data Analyst to join our Operations Support team. You will provide critical management information to senior leaders, supporting the development, analysis, and delivery of operational and financial data to meet the Trust’s strategic and statutory obligations. Your role will involve engaging with senior management to develop, analyze, and measure strategies, and supporting our Business Performance reporting across maintenance programmes, efficiencies, health & safety, finance, and compliance.

Location

This role is based remotely, with occasional attendance at one of our main hubs: Leeds, Ellesmere Port, Burnley, Newark, Birmingham, Milton Keynes, Gloucester. You should be able to reasonably commute to these hubs.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, implementing, and analyzing operational measures and reports, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Presenting data insights clearly using various media.
  • Providing timely, accurate reports to colleagues at all levels, including financial and ad-hoc reports, to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Automating measurement and reporting processes, developing new KPIs, and working with teams to meet their data needs.
  • Ensuring data quality and integrity, investigating anomalies, and supporting performance analysis to improve productivity and compliance.

Technical skills:

  • Experience in understanding unfamiliar industries, developing high-quality data management and analysis.
  • Proficiency in generating reports on cost control, productivity, and targets.
  • Ability to extract data from external sources and automate reporting, with experience in PowerBI or similar tools.
  • Experience in communication and continuous improvement environments, familiarity with lean principles is desirable.

General skills:

  • Proficiency in IT tools for data extraction and interpretation.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.

What We Offer

Salary of £30,000 - £35,000, plus benefits including a contributory pension, holiday entitlement, and other employee benefits such as salary sacrifice options, store discounts, and more.

  • 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, increasing after 3 years.
  • Home working with access to hubs if needed, Monday to Friday, no weekends.
