Job summary

Adecco is seeking a dedicated Class 2 Refuse Driver for our client in Heywood on a temporary basis. The role supports waste management operations and ensures community recycling and refuse collections run smoothly.

You will assist loaders, perform daily vehicle checks, report safety concerns, and help maintain compliance while meeting round targets and contributing to a cleaner environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 driving licence and CPC qualification.
• Proven experience as a Class 2 Driver, preferably in refuse collection.
• References from the last two years.
• Updated CV.

Responsibilities

• Assist Recycling/Refuse Loaders in collection and disposal of waste.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and submit records weekly.
• Report defects or safety concerns to Fleet Management.
• Undertake routine maintenance to keep the vehicle compliant.
• Operate the refuse vehicle to meet round targets and reduce waste.
