Job summary

Simply Jobsworth is seeking a Class 2 Refuse Driver for a Tuesday to Friday schedule with a 4-day week and temp-to-perm potential. Newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply, with overtime and ongoing opportunities.

You will drive a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle, perform safety checks, follow planned routes, and work with loaders to ensure safe, efficient collections, while maintaining a professional service to the public.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 / Category C licence.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Safe and responsible approach to driving.
• Good reliability and timekeeping.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Drives a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle.
• Completes daily vehicle safety checks.
• Follows planned collection routes.
• Works with refuse loaders and crew members.
• Ensures collections are completed safely and efficiently.
• Reports any vehicle defects or issues.
• Completes required paperwork.
• Follows site, road safety and health & safety procedures.
• Delivers a professional service when dealing with the public.
