Job summary

Catering in Widnes is seeking a Class 2 HGV Refuse Driver for a temporary-to-permanent role in Widnes. You will drive class 2 refuse collection vehicles, collecting household and commercial waste across the North West.

Shifts run Monday to Friday, starting between 5am and 6am, finishing by 5pm at the latest, with maximum 12-hour shifts. This is a great opportunity for an experienced driver to move into a permanent position.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Cat C) licence required.
• Minimum 6 months’ Class 2 driving experience.
• Good understanding of driver hours and road safety.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 2 refuse collection vehicles.
• Collect household and commercial waste.
• Work across the North West.
• Monday to Friday shifts, start between 5am and 6am.
• Finish by 5pm at the latest, max 12-hour shifts.
• Complete all allocated jobs before finishing.

We are currently recruiting for Class 2 HGV Refuse Drivers to join a busy waste and recycling operation based in Widnes.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Class 2 driver looking for a temp-to-perm position, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role

• Driving Class 2 refuse collection vehicles
• Collecting household and commercial waste
• Working across the North West
• Monday to Friday shifts
• Start times between 5am and 6am
• Finishing by 5pm at the latest, normally earlier
• Maximum 12-hour shifts
• No tramping or overnight stays
• Completing all allocated jobs before finishing for the day

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Cat C) licence
• Minimum 6 months’ Class 2 driving experience
• Good understanding of driver hours and road safety
• Reliable and punctual
• Comfortable working outdoors and as part of a team
• Willing to complete an induction before starting
