Job summary

Bedford Borough Council is seeking a skilled TA Placement Management Officer to support households living in temporary accommodation. You will manage placements, help customers understand tenancy conditions and sustain housing.

You will work with Adult Social Care, Mental Health Services, Community Safety and ASB teams to manage risk, undertake inspections, and maintain records in line with audits and data protection.

We are seeking a skilled, resilient, & compassionate TA Placement Management Officer to support households living in temporary accommodation. Many customers have complex needs, are at risk of eviction, or have experienced repeated placement breakdowns.

You will manage temporary accommodation placements across the borough, ensuring properties are safe, suitable, & well maintained. A key focus of the role is working closely with customers to help them understand & comply with licence or tenancy conditions, enabling them to sustain their accommodation & avoid homelessness.

You will manage a varied caseload, including high-risk & complex cases, using a balanced approach that combines supportive intervention with proportionate enforcement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage placements & support customers at risk of eviction
