Job summary

4Recruitment Services is seeking an experienced Temporary Accommodation Officer for a West London local authority client. The role offers hybrid working: 3 days on site. You will manage properties for temporary accommodation and coordinate with suppliers and housing teams to ensure safe, compliant housing for homeless households.

You will monitor tenants, manage tenancy issues, advise on employment and training, and lead project work on related housing schemes as required.

Responsibilities

• To directly manage a range of properties acquired for temporary accommodation for Homeless households. Tasks include void management, lettings, tenancy management, rent arrears, repairs, landlord liaison and related areas.
• To contract manage the various suppliers of accommodation (PLAs & HALs) ensuring invoices are processed efficiently and compliance regarding contractual responsibilities.
• To work in conjunction with all teams within Housing Solutions to ensure coordinated service delivery to statutorily homeless households.
• To monitor and visit temporary accommodation tenants and ensure authorised occupation, vacation and repossession on proper discharge of the Council's duties under homelessness legislation and to ensure that all properties are fully compliant with Health and Safety standards.
• To provide support and advice to all temporary accommodation tenants including advice on employment and training and to make referrals to external agencies as appropriate.
• To undertake project work as required and lead as required on the Housing Association Leasing Scheme and other related projects as appropriate.

£23.07 an hour PAYE
