South Norfolk and Broadland Councils are recruiting a Temporary Accommodation Housing Officer to join our Housing Team. You will deliver tailored support to residents in temporary accommodation, manage a caseload, and work to prevent homelessness across our districts.

The role requires strong decision-making, risk awareness, and a solid understanding of housing legislation to assist vulnerable households while protecting revenue streams.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to individuals and families in temporary accommodation or at risk of losing their tenancies.
• Hold a caseload and work to help residents sustain their tenancy and secure positive solutions.
• Explain residents' responsibilities, licence conditions, and payment of accommodation charges; emphasise consequences of non-payment.
