Job summary

Staffline is seeking a Transport Planner in Chilwell, Nottingham, to manage proactive load planning and fleet utilisation. The role requires strong system skills and experience in freight forwarding or transport planning, with a focus on delivering reliable service in a time‑pressured environment.

You will work Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, with full training provided and on‑site facilities including a canteen and free parking. The hourly rate is £14.42.

Qualifications

• Experience of freight forwarding or transport planning operations is essential.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and system-based.

Responsibilities

• All assets are utilised in line with KPI targets.
• Ensure service is delivered through proactive load planning.
• Utilise TMS to maximise fleet utilisation and backhaul opportunities.
• Collaborate with Sub Con operation to maximise service delivery KPIs.
• Maintain high data accuracy in the TMS for fleet planning.
