Job summary

CV Consulting Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer (electrically qualified) in Kettering. This role requires a proactive engineer to perform electrical and mechanical reactive maintenance across the site, with a strong emphasis on electrical work.

The successful candidate will operate with a CMMS, collaborate with Production and Engineering to maximise machine efficiency, and carry out risk assessments, permits to work, and root cause analysis on PLCs.

Job description

Maintenance Engineer, Electrically qualified, Kettering, £55,000 Double Day shift

Multi skilled Maintenance Engineers required to join a dynamic company. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to make a difference.

The Maintenance Engineer's role will involve:

• Carrying out reactive maintenance (respond to breakdowns) both electrical and mechanical across the site whilst ensuring all the company procedures and standards are followed
• The Maintenance Engineer will work from a CMMS (Computerised maintenance management system) in close collaboration with Production and Engineering to maximise machine efficiency and minimise both machinery breakdowns and production disturbances.
• Have knowledge of; carrying out Risk Assessments, Permit to Work, Root Cause Analysis, Pneumatics fault finding on PLCs
• A high standard of electrical and mechanical knowledge will be required (electrically qualified is a must).
• An electrical qualification is a must, along with experience working in a manufacturing environment.

The successful Maintenance Engineer will need to have a high standard of electrical and mechanical knowledge, with experience in carrying out, Root Cause Analysis, Pneumatics and fault finding on PLCs

The Maintenance Engineer will have some the following qualifications:

• BTECH, ONC qualification as a minimum in an Electrical discipline or Multi skilled Engineering qualification, C&G, NVQ 3 Electrical Maintenance
• Time served apprentice
• Multi-skilled Engineer
• HNC level in electrical or production maintenance engineering

This is a Temporary-to-Permanent (Temp-to-Perm) opportunity. Applicants must be available to start at short notice, have the right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available), and be confident working in a fast-paced environment.

This position is commutable from Corby, Kettering, Northampton, Wellingborough, Milton Keynes, and Bedford.
