Job summary

Kinetic Recruitment are looking for an experienced Plasma Operator to join a busy manufacturing workshop in Rochdale. Temp to perm roles are due to start ASAP. Pay will be £15.50/hr and there is plenty of overtime.

The role involves setting, editing and operating CNC Plasma Cutting Machine aligned to product drawings and production plan, cutting aluminium, stainless steel and other sheet metals. You will read job sheets and drawings, measure and mark out references, and check components for

Qualifications

• Have previous CNC Plasma Cutting experience
• Understanding of setting, basic editing and operating
• Be able to work accurately from measurements and drawings
• Have good practical and basic numerical skills
• Be reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Setting, editing and operating CNC Plasma Cutting Machine aligned to product drawings and production plan
• Cutting components from aluminium, stainless steel, Aluzinc and other sheet metals
• Marking out, measuring and setting reference points
• Reading job sheets, drawings and customer dimensions
• Checking finished components for accuracy and quality
• Working safely and maintaining a clean and organised workspace
• Helping with packing and general workshop duties when required
