Job summary

Kinetic plc is seeking an experienced Plasma Operator to join a busy workshop in Rochdale. The role involves setting, editing and operating a CNC Plasma Cutting Machine against product drawings and the production plan.

Applicants should have CNC Plasma Cutting experience, be able to read drawings and measurements, and work reliably in a team with good numerical skills. Immediate start with temp-to-perm potential and overtime available.

Qualifications

• Understanding of setting, basic editing and operating.
• Be able to work accurately from measurements and drawings.

Pay will be £15.50/hr and there is plenty of overtime.

Plasma Cutting Machine Setter/Operator

WORK DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced CNC Plasma Op to join our busy manufacturing workshop in Rochdale. The role involves setting, editing, operating CNC Plasma Cutting Machine aligned to product drawings and production plan.

Main duties

• Cutting components from aluminium, stainless steel, Aluzinc and other sheet metals
• Marking out, measuring and setting reference points,
• Reading job sheets, drawings and customer dimensions
• Checking finished components for accuracy and quality
• Working safely and maintaining a clean and organised workspace
• Helping with packing and general workshop duties when required

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Have previous CNC Plasma Cutting experience
• Understanding of setting, basic editing and operating
• Be able to work accurately from measurements and drawings
• Have good practical and basic numerical skills
• Be reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
