Job summary

Kinetic Recruitment in Rochdale is seeking an experienced Plasma Cutting Machine Setter/Operator to join a busy workshop. The role involves setting, editing and operating CNC plasma cutting machines in line with product drawings and the production plan.

You will cut components from aluminium, stainless steel and other sheet metals, mark and measure references, read job sheets and drawings, check tolerances, maintain a safe, tidy workspace and assist with packing and general duties as required.

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC plasma cutting is required.
• Ability to set, edit and operate CNC plasma cutting machines.
• Ability to read measurements and drawings and work from product drawings.
• Good numerical and practical skills; reliable and punctual; team player.

Pay will be £15.50/hr and there is plenty of overtime.

• Marking out, measuring and setting reference points,
• Reading job sheets, drawings and customer dimensions
• Checking finished components for accuracy and quality

• Helping with packing and general workshop duties when required

Experience / Training / Qualifications Required

• Have previous CNC Plasma Cutting experience
• Understanding of setting, basic editing and operating
• Be able to work accurately from measurements and drawings
• Have good practical and basic numerical skills
• Be reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
