Job summary

Pro-Found Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Rotherham. The role is a temp-to-perm opportunity with an ASAP start, working 6:00am–4:00pm, Monday to Friday, at a pay rate of £13.50 per hour.

You will operate cutting and drilling machinery, read engineering drawings, maintain quality, and follow safety regulations in a busy production environment. This position offers long-term stability for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating industrial saws and drilling machines.
• CNC machine operating experience.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Ability to accurately use measuring tools (tape measures, callipers, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Good understanding of health & safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to long-term work.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate saws and drilling machines safely and efficiently.
• Accurately measure, cut, and drill materials to specification.
• Read and follow technical drawings and job instructions.
• Conduct basic machine checks and report any faults or defects.
• Ensure all work meets quality and production standards.
• Adhere strictly to health & safety regulations at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Meet daily production targets while maintaining accuracy.
