Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd (SATCoL) is seeking a Sales Assistant on a temporary, part-time basis to cover maternity leave in Bolton. The role involves assisting the Shop Manager and volunteers, maintaining merchandising standards and delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-focused roles, paid or voluntary.
• Positive, friendly outlook and strong communication.
• Able to support Shop Manager and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of visual merchandising across the shop.
• Assist customers from entry to purchase.
• Explain Gift Aid and promotions to customers.
• Complete cash handling and banking procedures.
• Support and train volunteers as needed.
• Sort and prepare donated stock for sale.
• Travel to other shops within a cluster when required.
• Support health and safety practices and store operations.
• Manage shop and volunteers during the Manager's absence.
• Uphold company visions and values in daily conduct.
