Job summary

Salvation Army Trading Company in Mapplewell is seeking a part-time Sales Assistant to support our Shop Manager and a team of volunteers in a busy charity shop. You will help maintain visual merchandising, assist customers through their visit, promote Gift Aid, and handle cashing up and banking procedures.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused experience across paid or voluntary roles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of visual merchandising throughout the shop.
• Assist customers from entry to purchase.
• Promote Gift Aid and promotions to customers.
• Complete paperwork including cashing up and banking procedures.
• Train and support volunteers as needed.
• Sort and prepare donated stock and stock rotation.
• Travel to other shops within cluster when required.
• Support Shop Manager with Health and Safety procedures and best practice.
• Oversee daily shop running and manage volunteers in the Manager's absence.
• Reflect SATCoL's visions and values in behavior.
