Brook Street in Inverness is recruiting a temporary Part Time Payroll & Pensions Officer. The role is for approximately 2 months, 21 hours per week (3 days). It focuses on delivering accurate payroll and pension services for an Inverness-based organisation.

You will process monthly payroll, administer pension schemes, maintain records, handle starters and leavers, and ensure HMRC compliance. Aiming for precise, confidential support and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience processing payroll and pensions.
• Public sector experience beneficial.
• Knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements.
• Ability to work confidentially and meet strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll accurately and within deadlines.
• Administer workplace pension schemes, including enrolments and changes.
• Maintain accurate payroll and employee records.
• Process starters, leavers, salary changes, deductions and statutory payments.
• Complete payroll reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC, pension legislation and company policies.
• Respond to employee queries regarding payroll and pensions.
• Produce payroll reports as required.
