High View Primary School in Sutton seeks a Temporary Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated one-to-one support to a child with additional learning needs. The role runs as a fixed-term contract, mornings only with a focus on developing independence and learning engagement.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, support staff and parents to ensure consistent support and progress, including reporting observations and integrating AAC tools where needed.

Competenze

• Builds positive, trusting relationships with children and is committed to supporting their individual needs and development.
• Has experience of working with children with additional learning needs.
• Ideally has experience of supporting children who are pre-verbal and/or use AAC devices to communicate.
• Can provide focused, consistent and responsive one-to-one support.
• Is able to observe, record and celebrate children's progress and achievements.
• Has excellent communication skills and works effectively as part of a team.
• Is able to work positively in partnership with parents/carers, colleagues and other professionals.
• Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
