Job summary

Teach Agency is recruiting for a welcoming primary school in St Neots to hire a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant on a fixed-term contract until July 2027. You will work directly with a pupil with additional learning needs, supporting their academic, social and emotional development and collaborating with teachers and SENCO.

This is a direct employment with the school, not agency supply, offering a supportive team and meaningful daily impact.

Qualifications

• Experience with children, ideally in a primary school or SEN setting.
• Patient, nurturing and understanding approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional learning needs.
• Work with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored activities.
• Support the pupil’s academic, social and emotional development.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
