Job summary

KPI Recruiting Ltd is seeking a Compliance Officer for a temporary assignment based at our Stoke-on-Trent headquarters. The role centres on ensuring candidate compliance, supporting recruitment teams, and maintaining high regulatory standards.

You will manage documentation, perform checks, and liaise with candidates and consultants to resolve queries. Ideal candidates have a background in customer service, administration, or compliance, with strong IT and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service, administration, compliance or recruitment-related role.
• Strong IT, administrative and organisational skills.
• A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Managing candidate applications and compliance documentation across multiple recruitment sectors.
• Conducting candidate pre-screening calls and gathering relevant information to support the compliance process.
• Working closely with recruitment consultants to ensure candidates meet client compliance requirements.
• Completing and maintaining right to work checks in line with current government guidelines.
• Checking driving licences, relevant qualifications, permits and other sector-specific documentation where required.
• Supporting the completion of DBS checks and other background checks relevant to client and role requirements.
• Requesting, monitoring and chasing candidate references as required.
• Ensuring candidate records are accurate, complete and up to date across internal systems.
• Reviewing documentation and identifying any missing or expired compliance requirements.
• Liaising with candidates, recruitment consultants and clients to resolve compliance queries and outstanding checks.
• Managing compliance deadlines and ensuring candidates are ready for work in a timely manner.
• Answering telephone calls and directing enquiries to the relevant team member.
• Supporting candidate registrations, including online registration forms and face-to-face registrations where required.
• Maintaining organised records, office paperwork and compliance documentation.
• Providing general administrative support to the Compliance Team and wider business as required.
