Job summary

KPI Recruiting Ltd is seeking a Compliance Officer on a temporary basis to support our Compliance Team at KPI Recruiting Headquarters in Stoke-on-Trent. You will ensure candidates are fully compliant and ready to be placed, handling documentation and regulatory checks.

Ideal candidates have experience in customer service, administration or compliance, with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage candidate applications and compliance documentation across multiple recruitment sectors.
• Conduct candidate pre-screening calls and gather relevant information to support the compliance process.
• Work closely with recruitment consultants to ensure candidates meet the compliance requirements of clients.
• Complete and maintain right to work checks in line with current government guidelines.
• Check driving licences, relevant qualifications, permits and other sector-specific documentation where required.
• Support the completion of DBS checks and other background checks relevant to client and role requirements.
• Requesting, monitoring and chasing candidate references as required.
• Ensuring candidate records are accurate, complete and up to date across internal systems.
• Reviewing documentation and identifying any missing or expired compliance requirements.
• Liaising with candidates, recruitment consultants and clients to resolve compliance queries and outstanding checks.
• Managing compliance deadlines and ensuring candidates are ready for work in a timely manner.
• Answering telephone calls and directing enquiries to the relevant team member.
• Supporting candidate registrations, including online registration forms and face-to-face registrations where required.
• Maintaining organised records, office paperwork and compliance documentation.
• Providing general administrative support to the Compliance Team and wider business as required.

We are looking for a Compliance Officer to join our Compliance Team at our KPI Recruiting Headquarters in Stoke-on-Trent. You will play a key role in ensuring candidates are fully compliant and ready to be placed into work, supporting our recruitment teams and helping us maintain high standards of regulatory and operational compliance.

We are ideally looking for someone with a customer service, administration or compliance background. The role involves communicating with candidates over the phone, completing essential checks, managing documentation and using a range of IT systems to ensure all compliance requirements are met.

What will your day-to-day duties include?
