Job summary

Office Angels in Dover (Whitfield) seeks a talented Chef for a short-term position in a busy kitchen. You will lead the kitchen team, prepare dishes to a high standard, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while delivering excellent service under pressure.

The role offers straight shifts with a regular weekend off, a pay rate of £14.50 per hour, staff parking, uniform provided, and staff discounts on meals during breaks. 2–3 weeks duration.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years' kitchen experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of food and health & safety legislation, particularly allergens and HACCP.
• Experience working in a high-pressure team environment.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to follow recipes accurately.
• Excellent listening and communication within a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the kitchen team effectively to maximize productivity and service levels.
• Prepare dishes in line with high standards, maintaining quality and presentation.
• Oversee shift operations, ensuring health and safety compliance (allergens, HACCP, COSHH).
• Manage stock deliveries and rotate stock efficiently.
• Collaborate as part of a cohesive team to foster a positive kitchen atmosphere.
