Job summary

Key responsibilities include monthly management accounts, variance analysis, budgeting support and ad hoc duties. Strong Excel and accounting software experience are essential, with AAT qualification beneficial.

Qualifications

• Experience in a finance role with exposure to management accounts.
• Exposure to financial reporting and month-end processes is essential.
• Strong Excel skills and experience using accounting software.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Organised with ability to meet deadlines and prioritise workloads.
• Confident communicating financial information to stakeholders; AAT beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and month-end reporting.
• Produce regular financial reports and analyse actual and forecast expenditure.
• Monitor budgets, income and expenditure, highlighting variances.
• Assist with forecasting, financial modelling and scenario analysis.
• Support reconciliations, journal postings and monitoring financial balances.
• Provide financial information and reporting to budget holders and managers.
• Assist with grant claims and monitoring restricted funds.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and financial trackers.
• Complete ad hoc finance duties as required.
