Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join a busy finance team on an initial 3-month temporary basis in the United Kingdom. The role suits someone with exposure to financial reporting and a strong transactional finance background.

You will support monthly management accounts, assist with forecasting and provide financial information to budget holders. The role emphasises accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to work with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in a finance role with exposure to financial reporting and month-end processes.
• Strong Excel skills and experience using accounting software.
• AAT qualification or equivalent practical experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and month-end reporting.
• Produce regular financial reports and analyse actual vs forecast expenditure.
• Monitor budgets, income and expenditure and highlight variances.
• Assist with forecasting, financial modelling and scenario analysis.
• Support reconciliations, journal postings and monitoring financial balances.
• Provide financial information and reporting to budget holders and managers.
• Assist with grant claims and monitoring restricted funds.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, spreadsheets and trackers.
• Complete ad hoc finance duties as required.
