Job summary

Confidential in Verwood is seeking an Accounts Assistant on a temporary basis for around 4 weeks, with a possible extension. The role reports to the Finance Manager and focuses on accurate processing of supplier and subcontractor invoices, while supporting CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY SCHEME compliance and the purchase ledger.

You will help ensure timely supplier payments, manage supplier queries, and maintain supporting documentation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience processing CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY SCHEME invoices in a construction environment.
• Experience in Purchase Ledger, Accounts Payable or Finance Admin roles.
• Experience managing supplier payments, invoice processing and reconciliations.
• Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier and subcontractor invoices, including CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY SCHEME-related invoices.
• Manage the purchase ledger, supplier account queries and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and process weekly supplier payments and employee expense payments.
• Carry out CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY SCHEME verification checks and resolve related queries.
• Process and reconcile company credit card transactions.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Support the wider finance team with administrative and accounting tasks as required.
