Job summary

Sheffield City Council information systems team is seeking an Information Systems Specialist to act as SME for the Storm platform, mobile devices, and Teams telephony. You will lead complex development, build integrations, and drive digital services enhancements across the council’s contact centre and enterprise mobile environment.

The role combines hands-on development with transformation delivery, including workforce management and self-service improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience with Intune mobile device management builds.
• Experience managing the full development lifecycle from planning to implementation.
• Experience in telephony and integrations across systems.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of security, accessibility, data protection, governance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Act as subject matter expert for Storm contact centre telephony, corporate mobile devices and Teams telephony.
• Lead complex corporate telephony development, configuration and support.
• Develop advanced digital services using telephony platform tools and Google Dialogflow.
• Design, build and support integrations between internal and external IT systems.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues across call treatments and integrations.
• Design and support Intune mobile device builds for Android and iOS.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and development plans.
• Manage developments through planning, build, testing, implementation and post-deployment support.
• Work with project teams and suppliers on transformation and service improvement.
• Ensure solutions meet security, accessibility, data protection, architecture and governance requirements.
