Job summary

Geotab Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technical Specialist to support customers, installers, and product teams with technical expertise and innovative solutions. The role focuses on installations, testing, audits, and documentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality field service.

Ideal candidates have post-secondary education and hands-on Telematics/automotive experience, with strong problem-solving and travel up to 40% internationally.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience working as an installation field service specialist in Telematics, Automotive industry, or equivalent.
• Experience with OBD and CAN communications, SAE vehicle standards, and serial data interfaces.
• Experience with both hardware and software integration.

Responsibilities

• Provide design support for the New Product team, analyzing user requirements and defining product specifications.
• Support customers with technical details and data requirements for Geotab products.
• Assist installation partners and resellers with field service guidance and audits.
• Perform field installations when required and contribute to pilot projects.
• Update installation manuals and product guides with the latest information.
