Job summary

NHS 24 is seeking an experienced Nurse for Clinical Supervisor to deliver high-quality clinical supervision within our telehealth service. You will support colleagues, triage patients, and ensure safe, person-centred care across our regional centres in Cardonald, Clydebank, Dundee and South Queensferry.

The role requires an adult nurse registered on the NMC Part 1, with extensive post-registration experience and strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.

Qualifications

• You will be registered as an Adult nurse on Part 1 of the NMC register.
• Experience in telehealth is desirable.
• Post-registration experience in acute or primary care preferred.
• Strong decision-making and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality telephone triage using clinical expertise to ensure safe, person-centred care.
• Work as an autonomous practitioner applying professional judgement for comprehensive clinical triage.
• Ensure patients and families receive timely, safe, person-centred care with compassion and clear clinical reasoning.
• Provide real-time clinical support to peers and non-clinical staff to aid safe decision-making.
• Offer clear, accessible healthcare information to patients and carers to aid understanding and choices.
• Advise self-care and health improvement strategies where appropriate.
• Direct patients to the most suitable service or care setting based on individual needs.
• Recognise clinical risk and escalate to maintain patient safety.
