Job summary

Fawkes & Reece on the Bognor Regis site is seeking an experienced Telehandler for an on-going temporary role with a reputable construction company. The successful candidate will transport materials, load/unload, check loads for security, and perform daily equipment checks to ensure smooth site operations.

You must hold a current CPCS (blue) card or NPORS CSCS, with 3+ years of Telehandler experience in similar environments.

Qualifications

• Valid CPCS (blue) card or NPORS CSCS card.
• 3+ years experience operating a Telehandler on-site.
• Knowledge of loading/unloading, transport of materials, and pallet handling.
• Ability to work in a team and standalone as point of contact on site.

Responsibilities

• Obtain copies of production schedule daily and transport materials to and from designated areas on site.
• Load and unload goods from vehicles such as trucks.
• Move goods packed on pallets or in crates.
• Check loads are secure.
• Stack empty pallets.
• Perform daily equipment checks (recharge battery and lubricate equipment).
• Remove machine attachments and waste material from machines.

Job description

• Location: Bognor Regis
• Contract type: Temporary (Full time)
• Duration: On-going
• Pay rate: £20-21 per hour

The company:

A well-established regional developer who builds between 30-50 units with a focus on high-end.

The role:

As the Telehandler on site, you will be responsible for the following:

• Obtain copies of production schedule daily and transport materials to and from designated areas on site.
• Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks
• Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates.
• Checking loads are secure.
• Stacking empty pallets
• Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment.
• Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines

About you:

• Working knowledge of site health & safety procedures would be an advantage but is not essential.
• Strong work ethic in a team.
• Be approachable and happy to work as a point of contact when working in a standalone position.

To be successful in your application for this role you will have and be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

• You will need a current and valid CPCS (blue) card or NPORS CSCS experienced driver ticket.
• A minimum of 3 years+ experience operating a Telehandler in the same environment.
