Job summary

Mint Selection are recruiting for a General Operative / Telehandler Operator to support a major Energy Storage project in Exeter. This is a hands-on role where you will operate the telehandler, assist with deliveries and help manage site logistics on a high-visibility construction site.

You will work on a long-term contract, with requirements including CPCS/NPORS Telehandler and CSCS cards, plus a strong focus on health & safety and teamwork on live sites in Devon.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a General Operative on construction, infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
• Valid CPCS or NPORS Telehandler Ticket (Essential).
• Valid CSCS Card (Essential).
• Previous experience operating a telehandler on live construction sites.
• Good understanding of site health and safety procedures.
• Reliable and able to work as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence desirable.
• Be able to provide two strong, recent work references.

Responsibilities

• Operating the telehandler to move materials, plant and equipment around site.
• Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries.
• Supporting site logistics and material distribution.
• Carrying out general labouring duties to assist the construction team.
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping on site.
• Assisting with traffic management and site setup as required.
• Supporting subcontractors and site management with day-to-day activities.
• Carrying out manual handling duties safely and efficiently.
• Following all health & safety procedures and reporting hazards.
• Working as part of the wider construction team to meet programme deadlines.
