Job summary

A reputable construction company in the Gillingham area is seeking a Telehandler to support on-site operations. The role involves transporting materials, loading/unloading, and ensuring loads are secure, with daily equipment checks and pallet handling.

Candidates must hold a valid CPCS blue card or NPORS CSCS ticket and have 3+ years' Telehandler experience on similar sites. On-site, temporary full-time work with competitive pay rates (£17-£18 per hour) is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' Telehandler experience on similar sites.

Responsibilities

• Obtain copies of production schedule daily and transport materials to and from designated areas on site.
• Load and unload goods from vehicles such as trucks.
• Move goods packed on pallets or in crates.
• Check loads are secure.
• Stack empty pallets.
• Perform daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment.
• Remove machine attachments and waste material from machines.

The company:

A well-established regional developer who builds between 30-50 units with a focus on high-end.

The role:

As the Telehandler on site, you will be responsible for the following:

• Obtain copies of production schedule daily and transport materials to and from designated areas on site.
• Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks
• Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates.
• Checking loads are secure.
• Stacking empty pallets
• Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment.

About you:

• Working knowledge of site health & safety procedures would be an advantage but is not essential.
• Strong work ethic in a team.
• Be approachable and happy to work as a point of contact when working in a standalone position.

To be successful in your application for this role you will have and be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

• You will need a current and valid CPCS (blue) card or NPORS CSCS experienced driver ticket.
• A minimum of 3 years+ experience operating a Telehandler in the same environment.
