Job summary

Carbon60 in North Tawton, Devon is seeking a Telehandler Driver CPCS for a major food process project. The role runs Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 5.30pm on a contract basis with a minimum four months and potential to extend.

On site you will unload and distribute loads, move high value pumps and pipe spools, and assist fitters with basic installation tasks while following site safety rules.

Qualifications

• Valid CPCS Telehandler with boom licence.
• Experience operating rough terrain telehandler with 9m boom.
• Able to unload and distribute equipment safely on site.

Telehandler Driver - CPCS

The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the food process industry. The huge range of work carried out by the company includes process pipework and plant installation along with planned and preventive maintenance. This is a fantastic opportunity for Telehandler Driver CPCS to join the company supporting a major project in North Tawton, Devon.

Duties

As an experienced and suitably qualified Telehandler Driver CPCS you will be working on site at a food production facility in North Tawton, Devon. This is a major contract to remove and re install process pipework and equipment and forms part of a larger construction project. The primary duties will be to safely unload and distribute as necessary; all new process equipment and pipe spools delivered to site. Specific items will include high value pumps, motors, valve sets and one-off pieces of specialist equipment. Other duties will include assisting fitters with basic installation works, typically tightening bolts, painting pipework and installing pipework. Full training will be given for these other aspects of the job.

About You

Based ideally in North Tawton, Devon you will need to live within a commutable distance of EX20 2EB.

Demonstrable experience of operating a rough terrain telescopic forklift with 9m boom. The machine you'll be driving will most likely be a 9.55m Merlo P72.10 Telehandler 7200kg.

Current in date CPCS Telehandler with boom licence is required for this role.
