Job summary

MTrec Limited is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Engineer to take ownership of site facilities, plant and critical services, ensuring safety, reliability and compliance across the operation.

You will perform planned preventative and reactive maintenance, fault-find across electrical, mechanical and building-services systems, and support with new installations or modifications while working with contractors and ensuring health and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

  • Time served is ideal.
  • Experience in facilities, industrial, manufacturing or engineering maintenance.
  • Strong electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with PPM and reactive maintenance.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics and manuals.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety in an engineering environment.
  • Hands-on, independent working style.
  • Experience with HVAC, BMS, electrical distribution, compressed air, pumps, fire systems, generators/UPS, CMMS or contractor management would be advantageous.
  • IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of site facilities, plant and critical services, ensuring safety, reliability, compliant and operational performance.
  • Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
  • Fault-finding across electrical, mechanical and building-services systems.
  • Maintain site infrastructure including power, lighting, HVAC, water and drainage.
  • Support critical site services and respond to breakdowns.
  • Work with contractors and specialist service providers.
  • Support statutory inspections, compliance and permit-to-work activities.
  • Assist with new installations, modifications and commissioning.
  • Work Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm and Friday 8:00am-1:00pm.

The Company

Our client is a market leading company due to a sustained period of growth they are now looking to recruit a Facilities Maintenance Engineer.

The Role
  • This is a varied role where you’ll take ownership of site facilities, plant and critical services, keeping everything safe, reliable, compliant and operational.
  • Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
  • Fault-finding across electrical, mechanical and building-services systems.
  • Maintaining site infrastructure including power, lighting, HVAC, water and drainage.
  • Supporting critical site services and responding to breakdowns.
  • Working with contractors and specialist service providers.
  • Supporting statutory inspections, compliance and permit-to-work activities.
  • Assisting with new installations, modifications and commissioning.
  • Will work Monday-Thursday: 8:00am-5:00pm and Friday: 8:00am-1:00pm.
The Person
  • You will ideally be time served.
  • Previous experience in facilities, industrial, manufacturing or engineering maintenance.
  • Strong electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience.

  • A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to work independently.
  • Experience with HVAC, BMS, electrical distribution, compressed air, pumps, fire systems, generators/UPS, CMMS or contractor management would be advantageous.
  • IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications would also be beneficial.
