Job summary

JCB is seeking a Design Engineer to join its Tele-handler machine engineering team. You will design and develop components for the Tele-handler range, ensuring performance and reliability across the product line.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will work with multi-disciplinary teams, translate requirements into design briefs, define BOMs and supervise development builds, driving issue resolution and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience designing Off-Highway vehicles.
• Knowledge of drivetrain, hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive design areas of the Tele-handler machine projects.
• Translate customer requirements into design briefs with deliverables.
• Define the machine BOM and supervise development builds.
• Diagnose technical issues and provide design solutions.
• Prepare designs, calculations, and reports for engineering sign-off.
