The Ridgeway School and Sixth Form College in Swindon seeks a Teacher of Technology with proven experience in wood, metal and plastics to join our technology department. The role carries responsibilities for standards, progress and departmental leadership in a large secondary setting.

You will contribute to delivering a broad and relevant curriculum, support safeguarding and CPD, and work with leadership to raise attainment across all age groups.

Qualifications

• Experience of teaching Technology with wood, metal and plastics.
• Ability to raise standards and monitor student progress across the department.
• Experience deputising or leading a department or team.

Responsabilités

• Support the Head of Department to raise standards and monitor student achievement.
• Be accountable for student progress and development within Technology.
• Deputise for the Head of Department as required.
• Support development and enhancement of teaching practices within the department.
• Contribute to a broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum.
• Lead and manage department staff, resources and portfolio.
• Organise deployment of teaching and support staff and resources within the department.
