As a technician, you'll work outdoors in a team, supporting essential maintenance to keep the railway running safely and smoothly for passengers and freight users.

This is an electrical-based role requiring applicants to already be qualified in electrical installation at a minimum of NVQ level 2, with NVQ level 3 preferred.

Our technicians serve as the vital link between team leaders and operatives, specializing in areas such as:
Track Maintenance: Responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and repairing the track network (Permanent Way or P-Way) to ensure safety and efficiency. This is a manual role involving work with rails, sleepers, ballast, drainage, and ancillary structures.
Work conditions include outdoor environments in all weather, day or night, often involving manual labor and transporting equipment across challenging terrain. Safety, adherence to rules, and teamwork are critical, especially working near moving high-speed trains.
