Job summary

Weston College in Weston-super-Mare is seeking a Carpentry Technician to provide technical support to the Construction faculty for students and staff within Brickwork, Carpentry, Plastering and General Construction.

This full-time position offers 37 hours per week, with on-site interviews at a college campus. You will assist teaching staff with workshops, ensure safe storage and handling of materials, and help manage resources.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Construction.
• Up to date knowledge of Construction practices.

• Organising and providing the safe storage, usage, and working of all materials and equipment by both staff and students, in conformity with Health and Safety regulations.

• Safely setting up, preparing learning activities, and / or designing, as appropriate, equipment for the use of students and staff.
