Lewisham College, one of the largest colleges in London, is seeking an experienced Technician to join our Art & Design team.

Role Description

Working within a dynamic team, you will support the teaching of UAL Art & Design qualifications at levels 1, 2, and 3, assisting students and new entrants to the creative industry. Responsibilities include supervising student activities, demonstrating equipment and techniques, course planning, and maintaining studio facilities.

You should have experience with equipment and techniques such as screen-printing, darkroom work, painting, drawing, construction tools, video editing software, digital cameras, and Adobe Creative Suite. You will also promote student work through exhibitions and events, supporting health & safety regulations and engaging in field trips.

Candidates with vocational expertise and strong communication and organizational skills are encouraged to apply. We welcome both experienced FE sector staff and industry newcomers seeking a career change.
