Job description

Electrical CAD Technician required on a permanent basis to join an electrical subcontractor.

The company's head office is based in West London; however, this position is offered on a fully remote basis. The company works on various projects within the commercial fit-out sector, valuing up to GBP 1M.

Candidate must have strong electrical CAD experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide all CAD services to the electrical operations department.
2. Manage all CAD subcontractors working for the company.
3. Develop a drawing release program at the start of each project.
4. Monitor the drawing release program throughout the project to ensure timely completion.
5. Prepare all CAD coordinated drawings, schematics, and record drawings.
6. Ensure mark-up drawings are obtained from site promptly to facilitate record drawings for project handover.
7. Obtain quotations from subcontractors for CAD work if in-house resources are insufficient.
8. Attend site meetings as required.
9. Manage record drawings.

Requirements:

• Understanding of CAD software.
• Previous electrical knowledge.
