Join us as a Technician

We are recruiting for a Technician/Tester to join our team based out of the Warrington Rubax Office. The successful candidate will assist engineers with technical issues both remotely and in person, carry out surveys for modernisations, and assist in safety inspections, quality audits, and overall health and safety implementation. Additionally, the role involves conducting Passenger Release training in various environments and commissioning/testing new equipment at work sites within the region. Punctuality, enthusiasm, and self-motivation are essential. This is a permanent, full-time role.


Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Assist with technical issues of lift equipment following approved procedures (PPE, PDA, etc.).
  2. Help rectify faults on lift equipment during breakdowns and verify correct functioning.
  3. Perform fault finding and diagnostics using appropriate techniques, manuals, and test equipment to restore equipment to service.
  4. Work in accordance with company occupational health and safety policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.
  5. Adhere to safety requirements and demonstrate safe behaviour at all times.
  6. Use handheld devices for reporting work activities and adopt future technologies for real-time reporting.
  7. Perform tasks safely and according to established methods and procedures.
  8. Work independently or in groups to resolve technical issues.
  9. Provide technical support across departments, accurately record findings, and report to managers within set timescales.
  10. Ensure all actions are documented and reported properly, including periodic inspections if certified (CPSI5), in accordance with group requirements.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience in the lift industry as a qualified installation or maintenance engineer (NVQ3 or equivalent).
  • Strong product knowledge, electrical and mechanical skills, and familiarity with field tools.
  • Knowledge of safety components, subsystems, safety issues/hazards, relevant codes, and standards, with ability to access technical documentation.
  • Certified SAIS inspector according to group procedures.
  • NVQ4 qualification in testing lifts (new and existing) or working towards it.
