Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd in Bristol is seeking a Technical Waste Assessor to join our environmental team on a permanent basis. The role focuses on classifying soils and construction materials, interpreting laboratory data and developing compliant waste solutions.

You will work with experienced technical specialists to review results, assist with waste classification and reporting, identify contaminants, and liaise with laboratories, colleagues and clients to keep projects moving forward.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Academic background in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Environmental Science.
• Full Right to work in the UK.
• Live within a commutable distance of Bristol.
• Ideally some experience in waste classification/labs.

The Role

As a Technical Waste Assessor, you’ll help determine how soils and construction materials should be classified, treated and managed safely and compliantly.

Working alongside experienced technical specialists, you will:

• Assist with waste classification and technical reporting.
• Help identify potential contaminants and suitable testing requirements.
