Ecclesiastical Insurance UK, part of Benefact Group, is seeking a Technical Underwriter to join our Gloucester team. You’ll provide expert underwriting for Commercial Property and Liability within the Direct Commercial Underwriting Team, driving profitable portfolio performance and coaching others.

Qualifications
- Strong technical expertise in Commercial Property and Liability underwriting.
- Experience underwriting complex Commercial Property and Liability risks.
- Knowledge of portfolio management and performance metrics.
- Understanding of underwriting governance and regulation.
- Leadership and stakeholder management experience.
- Analytical approach with data, MI and audit insights.
Responsibilities
- Develop and underwrite new and existing Commercial Property and Liability business within authority.
- Provide technical underwriting expertise and referrals, make sound risk decisions.
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify trends to improve underwriting quality.
- Coach and develop underwriting capability across the team.
- Collaborate with product, pricing, wording and process development initiatives.
- Engage with stakeholders and translate market insights into underwriting actions.
