Qualifications

• Significant experience underwriting Property and Casualty risks, ideally within commercial or specialty markets.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, assess exposures, and make sound underwriting decisions.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship-management skills with brokers and clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop, negotiate, and profitably underwrite existing business caseload within own authority and in line with rate/commercial strategy.
• Provide coaching, training and support for colleagues including broker engagement and underwriting development.
• Plan, prioritise and manage individual work to deliver objectives and meet SLAs, delivering exceptional customer service.
• Build and maintain commercial relationships including commercial visits and activity.
• Identify areas for continuous improvement in processes and ways of working.
