Job summary

Gamma is seeking a Technical Team Lead to guide a small development team, delivering high‑quality projects aligned with our product strategy. You will provide technical leadership and hands‑on engineering across Group Products, ensuring scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions for business needs.

You’ll design systems, write code, review quality, and champion automated testing, CI/CD, and Agile delivery while collaborating with stakeholders and shaping roadmap priorities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading, coaching, and mentoring engineers.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
• Experience designing and building scalable systems and APIs.
• Stakeholder management and clear communication to influence decisions.
• Experience with modern tech such as Node.js/TypeScript and React or Angular.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing, version control, and Agile delivery.
• Familiarity with AWS and containerisation (Kubernetes).
• Java and telecoms industry knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and organise a small engineering team to deliver projects.
• Design technical systems and software solutions with strong non‑functional requirements.
• Write code and implement features across modern stacks.
• Review code and drive quality, testing, and maintainability.
• Champion automated testing and CI/CD best practices.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and plan delivery using Jira.
• Support discovery, scoping, and accurate estimation of time and cost.
• Identify technical debt and drive continuous improvement.
