Job summary

Gamma in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain systems in the BSS/OSS space. You’ll contribute to scalable, secure software and guide non-functional requirements across the squad.

You’ll lead design, develop RESTful APIs, optimise SQL, and advance CI/CD, testing, and documentation while collaborating with Product, Operations, and other stakeholders in a hybrid office/remote setup.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Java 8+ with OO design principles.
• Experience building RESTful APIs at scale.
• Strong SQL and DB design; performance focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, code reviews and testing of components.
• Coach engineers on tech standards and best practices.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and engineering practices.
• Support Agile ceremonies and project delivery.
• Collaborate with Product, Ops to refine requirements.
• Ensure security, cost control, configuration and asset management.
• Create clear technical documentation.
• Drive quality via robust testing strategies.
