Technical Systems Accountant - OneStream

OneStream Systems Accountant

Location: London, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh, Oxford – Hybrid working

Salary: depending on experience

Job overview

The role leads for OneStream capabilities in finance and supports Super User groups to develop knowledge. The role also provides support to users (particularly important during finance set pieces like budget, forecast, month end and year end) and working closely with Lead Finance Systems Accountant, looks at delivering improvements and further system adoption in line with an agreed Road Map for OneStream.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a strategy for system enhancements in line with developing business requirements globally
• Manage continuous improvement activities ensuring the system meets the changing management and statutory financial reporting requirements
• Support data migration and integration activities including testing and data cleansing, reconciliation and validation
• Provide advice, coaching and support to end users of the OneStream application (e.g. Group Reporting, Group FP&A and other senior global finance stakeholders) throughout the reporting cycle, including resolving finance and application issues
• Actively participate in external OneStream user groups and trainings for personal development and maintain awareness of new best practices in Company name
• Promote an environment of learning and professional growth for the OneStream end users
• Setup and management of Group level master data
• Creating/updating consolidation business rules
• Amending and/or creating new models, either directly or supporting BU power users in doing so
• Setup of reporting/dashboards, either directly or supporting BU power users in doing so
• Managing workflow, user role/permissions & securities changes/issues, regular upgrades (including timeline, comms and testing) and any other system-based administration
• Change control, management of small change requests
• Application management – Copying/removing applications in Prod as well as Dev when required
• Training of users, updating training materials as changes occur
• Working closely with finance stakeholders to maintain a roadmap that keeps the finance platform relevant and solves challenges within finance

Qualifications

• Accounting Qualification or strong knowledge
• 3+ years of previous OneStream experience as an administrator or analyst
• User support, system maintenance within EPM
• Proficiency with VB.net, Business rules build would be an advantage
• Experience in business-facing role requiring strong customer service ethic
• Experience in managing small projects including communication with key stakeholders
• Experience of being a system owner / key system SME
• Proactive, motivated self‑starter able to identify and propose improvements
• Enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds
• Able to interact with internal and external stakeholders
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Ability to establish strong working relationships with key members of the business
